Yarn: I used Aunt Lydias crochet thread 'size 3'
Round 1:
Slip knot, ch 2, 8 sc in slip knot, sc to join. Do not turn(mnr).
Round 2:
Sc in same st, 2 sc in ea st around, sc to join. (mnr).
Round 3:
Sc in ea st around, Sc to join (mnr).
Round 4:
Sc in same st, *sc in next st, 2 sc in nest st* Repeat from * to * around, sc to join (mnr).
Rounds 5-11:
Sc in ea st around, Sc to join(mnr).
Round 12:
Sc in ea st around, Sc in to bl to join(mnr).
Round 13:
Sc in same bl. 2 sc in ea bl around(would be 'outside of hat), Sc to join(mnr).
Round 14:
Sc in same st, *sc in next 3sts, 2 sc in nest st* Repeat from * to * around, sc to join (mnr).
Round 15:
Sc in same st, *sc in next 4sts, 2 sc in nest st* Repeat from * to * around, ss to join (mnr as middle back of hat).
From the inside, tighten your slipknot. pinch the hole (side to side) closed, and stich together right at hole, just enough to make ''Indent'' to top of hat. (Be sure indent is from back to front of hat
Round 16:
Ss in next 8 sts, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ss in next 17 sts, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ss to end (about 8 sts). Ss to join(mnr).
Round 17:
Turn Ss across(round 16). Ss to join. Fasten off. Use your fingers to 'shape' the hat. You may add a bead or Ribbon or a few stitches to help hold shape.
