Gauge:
Approximately 5 rows = 2 inches.
Approximately 5 Hdc = 2 inches.
Approximate Circumference = 19 - 20 inches.
Approximate Crown to Mid Ear = 6.25 - 6. 5 inches.
Round 1:
Ch 2, 6 hdc in 2nd ch from hook.(6hdc)
Round 2:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. 2 Hdc in ea st around.(12hdc)
Round 3:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(18hdc)
Round 4:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(24hdc)
Round 5:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 3 sts, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(30hdc)
Round 6:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 4 sts, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(36hdc)
Round 7:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 5 sts, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(42hdc)
Round 8:
Hdc to join(mnr), hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 6 sts, 2hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around.(48hdc)
Rounds 9-16:
Hdc to join(mnr). Hdc in each st around.(48hdc)
Rows 17 - 18:
Ch 1, (turn for row 18). Sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 8 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 4 sts.
Row 19:
Ch 1. Turn, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 15 sts, sc in next 4 sts. Sc in next st in Round 17 to join.
Row 2o:
Ch 1. Turn, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 12 sts, sc in next 6 sts. Sc in next st in Round 17 to join.(mnr).
Row 21:
Ch 1. Turn. sc in next 6 sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 10 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 7 sts, sc in Round 17.
Row 22:
Ch 1. Turn, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 12 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, , 2 sc in next st, , sc in next 3 sts, Sc in round 17 next st.
Row 23:
Ch 1. Turn. sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts. 2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 12 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts. Sc in Round 17 next st. (mnr).
Round 24:
Sc in ea st around. Ss to join.
Peak Chains.
Ch 30 turn, Ss into other side of 'peak'(in round 16). Ch 30. Turn. Ss in other side of peak(in round 16).Ch 30. Turn. Ss in other side of peak(in round 16). Fasten Off.
Embellish with a Large Button using scrap yarn and needle to attach.
If you wish you may use a surface Ss to 'draw' lines on hat to the best of your ability.
