I made the easiest crown for my little princess today!
This would make a fabulous gift for any little girl. Approx. Age 5+

Gauge:
Approx. 6 sc = 2 in.
Approx. 2 sc rows = 1 in.
I used:
4.5 MM hook
Patons Astra Yarn Light 3 (colour: High Energy)
To Start:
Ch 60. Ss in beg ch to join (forming a ring). Be careful not to twist ch.
Rounds 1-3:
Ch 2, Hdc in ea st round. Ss into ch 2 of beg ch 2 to join.
Round 4:
Ch 1(mnr), sc in next 3 sts. *Ch 2, sk next 2 sts, sc in next 8 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. Ss to join(mnr).
Round 5:
Ch 2, hdc in next 2 sts. *7 dc in next ch sp, sk next st, hdc in next 5 sts*. Repeat from * to * around. Ss into ch 2 of beg ch 2 to join.(mnr)
Round 6:
Ss in next 2 sts. *Sc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, 2 dc in next 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st, sc in next st, ss in next 4 sts.* Repeat from * to * around. Ss to join. Fasten Off.
